Melissa, although it has been years and years, I'm grateful that your sweet husband invited me to participate in this birthday surprise. Our lives crossed for a relatively short time, but I will share some specific and lasting impressions you made on me. You carry a sort of positive "aura" about you. It's startling almost, how open and honest your demeanor is. I guess the best way to put it is that you seem to be "without guile." What a unique gift, especially in the world today! You are real, you are kind, you are genuine and your strong spirit shines through your countenance. A happy soul! This ability to cut through the facades and really reach people is impressive and touching. I can only imagine how many lives have been blessed by your sweetness. Not to mention your bright intellect and creative capabilities and of course, your exuberance, enthusiasm and love of dance only makes you that much more endearing. One can't help but like Melissa :) But I must say, the most striking memory I have of you is of your genuine, open, goodness. And I am blessed because of it. Happy Birthday my dear!
